What is health and wellness coaching, and how can it help me?

Are there health behavior changes that you have wanted to make but either have not known how or haven’t been successful in the past? Has a new health concern arisen that you want to pay particular attention to? Health and wellness coaching effectively motivates and supports health behavior change through a structured partnership between the client and coach.


A coach is like a “personal trainer” except the focus will be on your whole self. The coach helps the client develop and realize their optimal health vision through inquiry, personal discovery and accountability. It is is a personalized partnership that helps you achieve your goals by helping you find clarity, develop actionable strategies, and accountability. It empowers you to overcome challenges and reach your full potential.

What should I expect during a coaching session?

Sessions focus on your goals, exploring obstacles and creating actionable plans. You’ll gain clarity, confidence, and tools to achieve results.

How long is the coaching program?

The standard package is three months, including eight one-on-one sessions, weekly email support, and a goal setting plan tailored to your needs.

What if I don’t see results?

Coaching is a collaborative process, and I'm committed to your success. You hold the content and I hold the process. Success is determined by your own investment of time and commitment to action. If you don't feel you're ready to commit, I advise you to wait until you are.

What are appropriate topics for health and wellness coaching?

The coaching relationship is unique. The coach and the client form a partnership to better equip you to realize your optimal health vision based on your own goals and values. Any concern that gets in the way of taking care of your optimal health is the perfect subject with which to begin coaching. Therefore, any topic you want to bring up that you think will contribute to your optimal health is an appropriate topic for Health & Well-Being Coaching.

Are sessions virtual or in-person?

Sessions are held over Google Meet but can be adopted to in-person (if available).

How is this different from therapy or consulting?

Coaching focuses on actionable strategies for the future, while therapy often explores past experiences. Unlike consultants, coaches empower you to create solutions rather than providing ready-made answers.

What makes Turtle Patience coaching unique?

My coaching is focused on the science of behavior change and the scientifically proven strategies for self-actualization. My personalized approach focuses entirely on your goals, combining curiosity-driven guidance with actionable strategies for meaningful results.

Do you offer flexible scheduling?

Yes, sessions are scheduled to fit your availability, with options for evenings and weekends if needed. However, we do require that you commit to a regular, reoccurring time period to ensure consistency and progress.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

Life happens. We schedule weekly sessions to maintain consistency and momentum. If for any reason you need to change your session, please provide us 24 hours notice and we will gladly find an alternate time slot (pending availability).

Is everything we discuss confidential?

Absolutely. I maintain strict confidentiality to ensure a safe, supportive coaching environment.

How do I prepare for a coaching session?

Before your session, reflect on your goals and challenges. We'll guide you through the process, so no extensive preparation is necessary.
